During that time she experienced the never ending love and loyalty of not only mans best friend but her best friend. After college she was introduced to the art of hiking by way of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Societies "Hike for Discovery". During her time with HFD she raised funds while exploring the many trails of the Hudson Valley. When she's not on the trails she enjoys independent films, museums and road trips. Her motto is "your weeks not complete without fur on everything you own"

DOG HIKER & DOG WALKER

My Dog Hikes is truly a dream job for anyone who loves dogs unconditionally and enjoys being active on the daily.  I never feel like I am going to "work" with MDH.  It is a rewarding feeling to be with the dogs; they are therapeutic. It is impossible to not get attached with each dog that I encounter during this job. No two dogs are exactly alike and each dog teaches me something new I never knew before.  I am constantly growing and learning as a walker, hiker, sitter/ boarder with MDH.  As a walker you get to explore Manhattan and feel like an expert at navigating the big apple.  Hiking is a useful life skill and dog sitting feels like a staycation!  My Dog Hikes is truly a dream job!

PHOTOGRAPHER

First and foremost, lets get down to brass tacks...I love dogs! No matter the size or breed they have always taken to me well and vise versa. As a freelance photographer in the city I document and capture moments of time in a very broad spectrum. With that said, there is something really special about photographing someone's pet. Your dog is family...period. I know mine is. My goal, with the help of My Dog Hikes is to capture moments with you and your dog that will last a lifetime. Unpave those paws and put them on your walls!

Throughout high school, Oliver volunteered for the Animal Rescue Foundation where he worked with and cared for a variety of dogs. In 2012, Oliver adopted a pit mix named Babe, who he loves to walk and run in Riverside Park, close to his home. Adam Duncan

DOG HIKER

I am from Indianapolis IN. I inherited a deep love for dogs from spending time with my grandmother, who always had several dogs. Being a dog trainer was the first career I ever wanted to pursue. Shortly after high school I shipped out to the navy where I saved 4 years on the USS Enterprise locating in Norfolk, VA. Upon completion of my enlistment, I immediately enrolled in a hands on vocational school for dog trainers located in Atlanta, GA. Some of my favorite fields of study were agility training and working with service animals. I have volunteered with rescue kennels to train dogs for basic obedience to increase their changes of getting adopted.
I most recently moved from the San Franscisco Bay Area where I had been studying audio, video, and photography
Since moving to New York I have uncovered a love for hiking with dogs, something that incorporates my love for outdoor athletic activities and dogs.
I want to be a master dog trainer and a certified canine behaviors specialist in the future.

DOG WALKER

I love dogs! I love the way they smell when they are wet and when they are dry. I grew up with a mini schnauzer who cemented my fondness for wiry mustachioed, old man-looking dogs, but really all dogs make me so very happy.
I grew up in Germany and Venezuela then majored in studio art in the cornfields of Ohio. Since then, I have spent many years doing print production for magazines.
When I am not working, I am walking, arting, hiking, beaching, and of course: giving belly rubs to random dogs on the street.
